Jann's use of watercolor is rich and vibrant! You'll find yourself being hit with color bouncing from her paintings as soon as you enter her gallery.
No "wimpy watercolors" as she depicts the various hues of one tiny leaf on a trail or the broad scope of a mountain range.
In her workshops, you'll learn to "rock & roll" that brush and use your watercolors "loose and juicy". Watercolor is fun - not intimidating at all!

How about creating some artwork yourself? Sign up for one of Jann's workshops to learn some of her techniques in watercolor or ink. Her teaching experience encompasses more than 50 years of showcasing her impressionistic way of viewing the natural world.
You schedule the day and time for your workshop that works best for you, whether you're visiting Gatlinburg or are a local! You'll spend 2 1/2 relaxing hours, diving into watercolor painting or the world of ink.You'll take home an original, either an 8 x 10 double-matted painting or a project on a surface other than paper, as a remembrance of your time in Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community.
Workshops are "safe-distanced" with a maximum of four participants, or perhaps there will just be you and me, or two or three!
Everyone is requested to wear a face mask.

When Jann isn't painting, she's hiking!
Taking a break from painting to drag ourselves up to Mt. LeConte. The views along the hike are well worth the pain - and give Jann more inspiration for her watercolor painting!
